Costume Quest 2: Being Released October 2014

Doublefine has finally got the support to make a Costume Quest 2 coming out October 2014. With some help from some up and coming publishers Costume Quest has been given a second chance to scare us this Halloween. If you haven't yet played the first Costume Quest you can download it on Xbox live or Playstation network. Don't forget to buy the expansion pack as well called "Grubbins on Ice".

So what is Costume Quest anyways? Well it's a game where two twins Reynold and Ren move to a new neighborhood and experience thier first Halloween in thier new town. When Reynold or Ren are out trick or treating a monster abducts one of the siblings. Playing ether Reynold or Ren it becomes your job to save your other sibling.

The hunt is on when you travel door to door through the neighborhood searching for clues as well as candy. Candy becomes a form of currency and as a child with a huge imagination it's your job to keep looking for more awesome costumes to wear around the neighborhood. In an turn based RPG style game, you go around the neighborhood making friends who will join your party. Your new friends usually come with a new costume and some magnificent new abilities. Any character can wear any costume and as you wear the different costumes you gain a persona when in battle.

If you haven't played the first Costume Quest I highly recommend you give it a try, especially if you like RPGs. IGN just released this news yesterday and you can watch the short segment on costume quest below. Get out their an go trick or treating already!
